Be Own Contractor
Is it legal for a company to make you pay for your own Workers Comp if you’re a Sub-Contractor or should they?
I am employed by a company as a Sub-Contractor. The owner makes the Employees (Subs) pay for their own workers compensation policy, either by taking a certain percentage out of their paychecks or requiring we purchase our own separate policy. Is this legal or should he be the one who pays for the policy/coverage? Thanks!
You are the sub on the job.
Be prepared to have all of our own insurance including but not limited to, workmans comp.
SO YOU WANT TO BE YOUR OWN GENERAL CONTRACTOR
