Where can I deposit a check with the company name on it?
If I start a small business without a contractors license and a check is made out with the company name on it, do I need to have a business banking account with that name, or can I just deposit it into my own personal account? What will I need to open a business account if I don’t have a license and will I even be able to?
Not sure if it matters, but this is in California.
You will need to open a checking account in the business name. They can help you understand more at the bank. It’s very easy to do.
