Is the company AMM Associates, Inc. a legit business?

I received a e-mail from this company as a third party contractor as employment seekers. They asked me to complete a profile so they can assist me with finding employment

Yep, they look legit. If they tell you that you have to pay any money, dont do it. Just go to Monster. I have used monster.com for years, and it always works out for me.
