Computer Contractor Insurance

How to classify this worker? employee? Independent contractor etc..?

We are in a dentistry business. We are planning to hire this person, a sort of billing agent or an specialist that calls and make appeal letters to insurances so we get paid pending completion of the requirements that insurance is requesting.
She offered to come once a week for 4 hours to complete the job needed. She works independently but uses our computer to write the letters and emails and also uses the telephone to communicate to insurance companies.
How should we classify this worker? An employee? An Independent contractor? What?

The employee is coming in to your office and using your computer and telephone. Since they’re in your office, I presume it could be argued that they’re being supervised by one of your staff.

I’d say that the person is an employee.

5. If you have the right to control or direct not only what is to be done, but also how it is to be done, then your workers are most likely employees.

6. If you can direct or control only the result of the work done — and not the means and methods of accomplishing the result — then your workers are probably independent contractors.
