Contractor Application

When filiing for unemployment benefits in California, who should I enter as my employer?

I worked as a contractor for a pharmaceutical company through a temp agency. On the unemployment application, it asks for employer’s name and address, supervisor’s name, etc. Do I use the temp agency’s information (they’re the one’s a received my paycheck from) or do I use the pharmaceutical company’s?

You are an employee of the temp service.

Look at your last paystub and use that info.

I would use your recruiter as the supervisor, or you could name the supervisor at the job site.

Really doesn’t matter as the unemployment office will never call anyone for anything–it is all done through the mail.
