I filed a1099 misc this past year?

I filled a 1099 misc form online this past year for my taxes. This is the only thing I have to file since I am an independant contractor. I didnt have a w2 or anything like that. This was my first time doing taxes, but I havnt gotten anything back from them. Was I supposed to get paperwork back saying that it was correctly filed?

No news is good news in this case. You’ll hear from the IRS if there’s a problem, but not if it’s OK.
