What is Texas doing to crack down on out of state contractors?

Shady people ruin job opportunities for others,and give contrators a bad name. I am in the process of relocating there ( Houston) from Ohio.I have read Texas laws are getting stricter, does anyone have information on this? Thanks

Outside of licensing requirements, there’s not much Texas (or any other state) can do to regulate out-of-state contractors. I have no idea what you’re referring to when you that “Texas laws are getting stricter.” Do you have an example of such a law?
