Is it safe to have my house painted (by a contractor, exterior )with a 15-month old at home?
I have a 15-month old daughter and am trying to get pregnant again. We plan to have our 50-year old house’s exterior painted by a contractor. But I still worry about whether the exposure to the fresh paint can be harmful to my daughter and myself. Should I be concerned? The house exterior paint is peeling off. I have the house lead-tested when we bought it in 2002 and it was OK..Thanks for any suggestion about what to do.
If it is on the outside and you keep the windows closed, you should be fine. If you begin to smell any fumes, take your daughter out for a while.
