I won judgment against a contractor in Small Claims Court; however, the owner died. There is no estate left?

Apparently, there is no estate in his name, and he had no wife or kids. I also contacted California’s business license department and department of corporation for information on him but to no avail. How may I collect on my judgment on his business estate or equipment he had?
Rather his estate is not posted at the county court house.

If he has no estate, there is nothing you can do. However, if he was incorporated, and you sued the corporation, that corp lives on and probably has assets. Furthermore, even the individual probably has an estate. The clothes he was wearing, if nothing else. Hire an investigator to find the assets. The mere fact that nothing has yet been filed in your county means nothing.
