contractors signing in book
Urgent!! Need find a lawyer for my condo buying?

I am a buyer in north California and have signed and paid my parts to wait for the close of escrow. The seller, in the last minute, can’t sign the documents due to his personal life situation (divorce…) so I can’t get the condo on time. I already book the contractors, break my lease, and get moving stuff ready. Now I have to face the extra cost and lost the seller has caused. I want to know how my rights are being protected and I want to hire attorney to look at my case. How can I get it started ASAP? Any suggestion?
My realtor told me there is nothing I can do as a buyer but wait for the seller to sign the documents. I don’t believe either party fails the contract can carry away with no responsibilities.

Hiring a lawyer for minor legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful – http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html
