Contractors Tax
Tax rebate for contractors?
I don’t pay taxes throughout the year, but at the end of the year I receive a 1099 misc. I have 3 children. Am I elegible to receive the tax rebate?
Scotty go to www.earthlink.com, there is an article about a deal made as of today. (just to keep you informed)
How do I know if I had tax liability? Haven’t learned about taxes.
First, there is no rebate yet. It’s just an idea being talked about in Congress.
Under the Bush plan, if you had a tax liability, then you paid income tax, and you’d be entitled to the rebate, if they ever pass it.
It wouldn’t matter if you receive a 1099 or not. What matters is if you had a tax liability. If you had a zero tax liability, you would not receive a check under that plan.
That is what angers many of the people who are against the present plan. The people who need it most (those who had no tax liability because they didn’t make enough money) won’t get anything under the present plan.
