direct tv independent contractor hiring ?

hi theres a independent conctractor hiring to install direct tv satelites in my area and he said i need to buy tools and a ladder. i already have a truck wondering if anyone ever did work like this and how much they made i dont want to go and buy all these tools and not make any money the ad said up to 1500 a week which sounds great but who knows if thats true which is why im asking. any answers appreciated. really want to know how much i should expect to make and if its a good job, dont have the best social skills but some.

not sure who DirecTV contracts out to in your area, but what you can do is go to www.directv.com/careers then click Join Our Team and then Installation and Services you can fill out your information and then DirecTV will forward it to the people who contract in your area.
