General Contractor Courses
Where to start to be come a general contractor? In Socal?
I’m 25 years old, high school diploma, took some college classes, but still need about 10 credits to get my AA degree, due to some problems I had to get out of school, and get a job I install carpet/vinyl/tile/laminate floors, the pay is not bad, but is hard work. I’ve found that I like construction, which is a 180 degree change of what I originally wanted to do ( computer science ) I really want to know where could I start, if going to school or start working at a union? and if going to school is better, which school is accreditated to give you a degree? I live in Los Angeles, and there is a community college (trade tech) that has some courses on architecture/building. Or if going to an union is better, how do I find them?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check out contruction relate dunions in your area. Or get your general contractors license and go out as an independent. The license is with the state of california. It opens up a lot of doors to have one.
