Heavy Contractors
Contractors/carpenters experts help me figure out my air compressor problem!?
I need to doublecheck this
I bought a 2gallon air compressor. I run an extension cord that looks like the link photo below. It is a heavy duty extension cord unlike the ones you use at home. I use it to run lawn tools.
Now about my compressor.
As the pressure builds up it auto stops, when pressure drops the motor is suppose to run, but randomly does no thing ..instead I hear a different noise as if the motor doesnt run and the fan stops..then some little smoke comes out.
I use this kind of extension cord. Is it wrong or I am not suppose to run any extension cord with my 2 g air compressor.
I need to extend because it’s too short. Any solution?

Instead of running an extension cord, it is recommended that you use a longer air hose and plug the unit directly into the receptacle.
