Why private security contractors in Iraq make money much more than just a soldier doing?

I do not understand, that not all soldiers only I go out and be a private contractor instead?

What do private security contractors have to do with the soldiers? They do not do the same work. Blackwater works for the State Department, not the military. Heck, Oprah Winfrey 80 million a year ago, what has this to do with what soldiers get paid? There are very many private security contractors in Iraq, making big money. Blackwater has fewer than 1,000 employees in Iraq.
