Roofing contractor laws in Georgia, US?

My sister is planning to start a roofing contracting business in Georgia and I was wondering what the laws are like there. For instance, in Louisiana if you do a job over $7,500 you have to have a contractor’s license.
I’ve looked around on the internet but didn’t have much luck on specific laws like this.
Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

Licensing laws are pretty slack in GA. If you have a truck, a hammer and a ladder you can be a roofer in the state of GA.

Of course the legitimate ones have much more than that and you’d never hire anyone that wasn’t bonded or without workers comp insurance.

Without the proper insurance, if he fell off your roof and died, you’d be responsible.
