Security Contractor Jobs
How should I put this on my resume?
I work a security contractor position. Towards the beginning of this year the contract was taken over by a new security company. I switched over to the new company so I could remain on site at my current position. My duties and position is exactly the same. The only difference is that I where a different uniform with a different company patch.
How should this look on the resume. I know I should show the change of companies and dates, but what do I list for duties. Should I just list the duties again for the new job? Or should I say, “same as previous position”?
personally, I’d go with the second option and say that it’s exactly the same as the previous position – they wouldn’t bother to read the second all the way through anyway once they realised it was the same as the first, therefore it saves them (and you) more time.
