State Contractors License Board
Has anyone sued the california contractors state license board?
Basically for failure to investigate contractors with prior disciplinary actions, revoked licenses, dba’s with priors?
Or just plain negligent acts of omission? Or?
Sorry, but you can’t sue for negligence. They’re protected under common law dating back hundreds of years. Basiclly says unless the government consents to being sued, that it can’t be sued. You can file a suit to get them to do their job, however the worst the court can do is issue an order that they do their job, and if they don’t issue a possible contept of court charge (and this is if the state allows you to sue for this at all).
