White Contractors
What could cause new ceramic tile bath discolor from the side wall out?
We moved into an old house that had been completely remodeled amost a year ago. In both bathrooms, white 8×8 tiles on the walls (but only the row that touches one's bath) becomes a dark purple color when wet. We realized the first time we used the shower and complained to the builder. We have been dealing with the company that pictures were acquired from the people who made the pictures of eleven months now. Starting today, we have been anyone ever seen this kind of thing before. All the installation was well, I've had other contractors out of jobs. I really appreciate any help you can be somebody in this area.
My first instinct is is perhaps a reaction between the sealant and all that is cleaning your tub with … or maybe some kind of waste from inside the bathroom that is migrating out with the steam. But it is merely a guess. The way to find out is if you change your cleaning routine. Instead of another cleaner, use a mixture of ammonia and hot water to clean the tub and tiles from top to bottom area. Ammonia is underestimated in their ability to remove grease, waste, etc. It is also one of the few cleaners that will not interfere with the cement used in the chips. If you can get the purple to go away and stay away from a shower or two, then it is something inorganic cause. But if you still purple after the shower next, I would suggest a strongly worded letter of counsel for the installer and manufacturer to replace the row of tiles affected or more. Indeed, only one question was, but what made the tiles with the stamp? I wonder if the sealant should not be part of the problem and is handled wrong that row one. It is worth considering at least prime it really is a difficult question.
